Ian Starks
Ian Starks was born and raised in Altadena, California. Some of his background experiences includes: employment for a few Los Angeles based radio stations; Power 106, Hot 92.3, and KIIS FM, and was able to use his talents behind the scenes as producer, voice talent for select commercials, and created commercial jingles for radio clients. After developing an appreciation for the radio production process, Ian was ready to take his talents to the world of television and film production. He enrolled in the Pasadena City College Cinema Program in order to earn his credentials in both Film Production and Cinematography. While at Pasadena City College, Ian went on to write, direct, and produce his next three short films: “The Next Generation”, “Sweet Dreams,” and “Brother’s Keeper” which all became film festival selections.
Ian earned a spot on the Dean’s List, and after graduating he was hired at Pasadena Media where he was able to hone his creative skills. At Pasadena Media, Ian went on to direct multiple shows such as “Maryl Today”, “Innovate Pasadena” as well as win a Telly Award for directing “I Do” and a Wave Award for editing the “Pasadena Chalk Festival” special.
To date Ian has added photography to his creative skills set, and the enjoyment of capturing exceptional moments in life, including but not limited to weddings, events, sports, portraits, and many more.
